Celebrating Our 250th Anniversary

 A Moment In Time

We all experience moments in life that stand out. Marriage, birth of a child, dream job - you name it, we all have them, and they're amazing, and we never forget them. But who of us today can say, "I was around to celebrate our nation's 100th, 125th, 150th anniversary"? None of us because it's that rare and unique.

Two hundred fifty years is a long time, but that is how long it has been since a brave group of men and women put everything they had on the line to establish a nation like the world had never seen. A nation, I believe, is still the greatest nation this world has ever known.

Who would we be if individuals like George and Martha Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks, or Martin Lurthur King weren't willing to step forward even through fear and adversity they undoubtedly faced? There are so many others worthy of being added to this list, but I'm certain they come to mind for each of you.

Proud To Be An American

At a time when so many vocally put this nation down, I'm not one of them. As a nation, have we gotten everything right? No, we haven't, but no other nation has either, nor any human being who has walked this earth - is walking it now - or will in the future.

On the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, I'm PROUD to be an American, and I always will be, and that's totally by choice.

God Bless America - The land that I love.
